It’s no secret that Yellowstone National Park is one of the nation’s most well-known and popular national parks. The park boasts more hot springs and geysers than any place in the world.

Best Glamping Near Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone has five formal entrances, but the west and north are the most used. The park’s west entrance sits near the town of West Yellowstone. This is the busiest of the five entrances. The entrance is also near the park’s famous geysers, which are undoubtedly Yellowstone’s top attractions. 

The second most popular entrance, the North entrance, is set just outside the town of Gardiner, Montana. This entrance is just a few miles from the famous Mammoth Hot Springs and Lamar Valley – the top spot for wildlife viewing

Tammah Glamping – This campground comes with well-furnished tents, Wi-Fi, and USB charging ports. You can also upgrade to one of the campground’s geodesic domes. The area has beautiful forest views, fire pits, and a roomy, luxurious lounge area. Tammah Glamping is open annually from June through September. 

Under Canvas West Yellowstone – This excellent campground has luxury safari-style tents of various sizes that can hold between two to seven people. All tents come with private bathrooms and hot water showers. 

There’s also an onsite restaurant with spectacular views of the Montana countryside. Every night, there are complimentary s’mores and campfires. 

Moreover, the campground is only ten minutes from Yellowstone’s West Entrance. Under Canvas has 2023 season dates of May 18th through September 11th.

Yellowstone Expeditions Yurt Camp – This US glamping location is ideal for skiers coming to experience the beauty and fun of Yellowstone’s winters. The private yurts here are all heated to keep you nice and cozy after an adventurous day of skiing or snowshoeing. 

Two big social yurts allow room for meals and other social activities. Campfires, an onsite sauna, and a heated outhouse and showers exist. The 2022/2023 Season Dates are December 22nd, 2022 through March 9th, 2023. 

Wander Camp Yellowstone – This spectacular glamping site comes equipped with rustic bell-shaped tents. The beautiful countryside of Idaho surrounds the area, with fantastic views of mountains in the background. 

There’s an onsite canteen that provides an outdoor dining experience. You also have the option to go for a traditional campfire-cooked meal. This gives you more of a genuine feel for the Old American West. The 2023 Season Dates are May 12th through September 24th.

North Yellowstone Area Glamping

Yellowstone Dreamin Camp – This USA glampground is kid-friendly and pet-friendly, with roomy tents and outstanding mountain views. This spot also allows you to make reservations for onsite activities such as river rafting, zip-lining, and mountain biking. The 2023 Season Dates are May 14th through September 29th. 

Under Canvas Paradise Valley – This is one of the area’s newest USA glamping locations, opening in June 2023. This site is located in a top-tier spot right along the banks of the Yellowstone River. 

As such, this glampground, when opened, will offer activities like river rafting and fly-fishing. Breakfast and dinner are also provided onsite. The 2023 Season Dates are June 15th through September 25th.

Yellowstone Tipis – This glampground has traditional tipi-style tents with king beds and private bathrooms. Space and mattress heaters are provided for colder nights. Regular fans are also provided to keep the breeze going inside during warmer days. 

Additionally, you can make reservations for activities and tours such as campfire cookouts and river floats. The 2023 Season Dates are May 15th through September 30th. 

Dreamcatcher Tipis at Yellowstone – This is perhaps one of the most premier and deluxe glampgrounds in the area. Each tipi tent has free Wi-Fi, electric heaters, memory foam mattresses, and private fire pits. The spa-style communal bathrooms have heated floors, rain showers, and organic bath products. 

Glampers are provided with complimentary adult drinks and s’mores around a cozy campfire every night. On top of that, a large selection of grab-and-go breakfast options is provided every morning. The 2023 Season Dates are May 7th through October 2nd.

What is the best camping site at Yellowstone Park?

The Canyon and Madison Campgrounds are tied for the best campgrounds at Yellowstone National Park. 

These campgrounds are the most popular inside Yellowstone for multiple reasons. Both campgrounds are in central locations of the park and are within close proximity to West Yellowstone, Montana. Bot campgrounds also have flush toilets. 

Canyon Campground offers additional amenities, including hot showers, dishwashing stations, and easy access to laundry facilities. 

When is the best time to visit Yellowstone National Park?

The best time to visit Yellowstone is late April through May and September through the beginning of October. These are the shoulder months in the park and are great to visit during this time for various reasons. These months see fewer crowds, milder temperatures, and few, if any, road closures.
